Our Story
Three of us, one wood-fired kitchen
VLC Pickles started the way most good things in a Kanyakumari village do — a family recipe, a heavy iron pan and far too many people asking for a jar to take home.
We still make it the same way. Fish and prawns come from the coast nearby, chillies and pepper are roasted and ground for each batch, and everything is cooked in coconut oil until the masala is thick enough to coat a spoon. No factory line, no shortcuts, no jar sitting on a shelf for a year.
What leaves our kitchen is what we serve at our own table — which is the only quality check we've ever really needed.
